As The Structure Fails

A Band Built on Brotherhood & Resilience

In 2014, brothers Carter and Kyle Laird became the vocalists of As The Structure Fails. More than just bandmates, they are family.

That sense of family was put to the test when drummer Clarke faced multiple brain surgeries due to a life-threatening condition, Arteriovenous Malformation, which he had battled since childhood.

The band paused all music projects to stand by him. It was a difficult time, but in 2016, Clarke made a full recovery, strengthening the band’s bond and shaping their perspective on life and music.

By August 2018, the band released their full-length album, featuring the track "Purgatory" with Brook Reeves of Impending Doom. The album explored powerful themes like damaged relationships ("Undesired"), addiction ("The Fix"), and the darker side of modern culture.

On October 6th, 2023, As The Structure Fails released their latest album, "In Vain", which quickly became their most successful release, amassing millions of streams.

That same year, the band took the stage at their first international festival—Hell & Heaven Open Air 2023 in Mexico, playing alongside Slipknot, Guns N' Roses, A Day To Remember, Bad Omens, Muse, and more.

Based in Stouffville, Ontario, Canada, As The Structure Fails continues to forge deep connections with fans, proving that music is more than just sound—it’s about resilience, unity, and family.
